Do you get dizzy from all the brands - CBD, CBG, CBGa? Let's take a closer look at these abbreviations and what they actually mean.

These brand names are abbreviations for organic substances from the cannabinoid group found in cannabis. Everyone knows their most famous brother THC, but the other members of the cannabinoid family are unknown. Let us therefore boldly introduce the other important members of this family.

CBD or cannabidiol is the second most famous cannabinoid compound today due to its antioxidant, anti-inflammatory properties. In addition to this, it is involved in the control of our endocannabinoid system, which regulates immune responses to a large extent. It is therefore responsible for the awakening of immunity and its proper functioning. It has the strongest anti-inflammatory properties of any cannabinoid. By regulating the immune response, it slows and limits the growth of cancer cells (regulates the proliferation of damaged cancer cells). It also reduces pain during treatment or chemotherapy. It reduces nausea and helps improve sleep.[1] At the same time, CBD is being extensively tested for its antipsychotic properties - not only can it greatly reduce the effects of acute THC intoxication, but it can also calm the mind and reduce panic attacks in the long term. The exact mechanism of action and the correct dosage for this diagnosis are still under investigation. Recent results suggest that it is a stress reducer. Its safe user profile makes it a suitable dietary supplement to most medications as well. Still, we recommend notifying your doctor that you are taking CBD with your medication. CBD may make some medications more effective, so it is possible to reduce the dosage while maintaining the same effect.

CBG or cannabigerol (cannabigerol) is probably the third most widely used member of the family. Why this particular cannabinoid? Because it serves as a precursor for the formation of CBD and THC. This means that both CBD and THC molecules are created by a different process from the same CBG molecule inside the cannabis plant. Like other members of the family, it is credited with powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects. Like CBD, it helps regulate the immune response. It helps reduce upset stomach, dizziness, and relieves symptoms of stress.

CBGa, or cannabigerol acid, is an organic acid that is the biologically active form of cannabigerol (CBG). This acid is converted by metabolism into the biologically active forms of our more familiar cousins 

CBGa -> CBDa or THCa. When heated, this acid, like its siblings, changes into cannabigerol. The most acclaimed research has shown both cannabigerol acid (CBGa) and cannabidiol acid (CBDa) prevent the Covid-19 virus from entering healthy cells. It is equally effective in slowing the spread of Covid-19 in the body and helping to create a proper immune response.[2]

A very simplistic way to explain the effect is that these organic acids have a high affinity for the spike protein of the virus. They can therefore effectively bind to this protein and block its ability to attach to a healthy cell.
